Airy Glass + Organic Shapes Give Pebbles Its Personality

Check out Pebbles, a fun, new collaborative collection designed by Kiki & Joost for OmniDecor. The lighthearted series – a mirror, coffee table, and candlestick – brings together the undeniable elegance of glass with Kiki van Eijk’s and Joost van Bleiswijk’s lively contemporary style. The smooth organic edges and different types of glass on display are ready to take on a variety of tastes, aesthetics, and needs.

Mirrors are expected to be straightforward, but the abstract, imperfect hand-drawn lines of this particular one makes it feel unexpected. No digital tools or techniques were used to create any of the pieces in the Pebbles collection to keep that hand-made quality intact. The two offset shelves add another fortuitous touch, giving the mirror a second level of function. Hang it in the entryway as a place for keys and mail or in the bathroom for beauty products. The mirror is available with shelves in DecorFlou Design Wire decorated glass or in DecorFlou extra-clear frosted glass.

As designers, Kiki and Joost complement one another’s strengths so well. In the case of Pebble’s coffee table, they strike a balance between Kiki’s approach to materials and Joost’s penchant for architecture. A combination of clear and semi-clear glass combine with and cross rounded shapes in a 3D collage technique that creates an airy appearance. The coffee table, with its frosted mesh motif, is produced in DecorFlou frosted glass or in DecorFlou Design Wire decorated glass.

The last piece is the candlestick, the smallest of the three that still makes a contemporary statement. It was also made as a 3D collage and retains the same organic form found in the rest of the Pebbles collection. The candlestick is available in Gold and in DecorFlou Design extra-clear.

Pebbles will be on display in Milan September 10-18 and in Venice September 17-25.
